Your most frequently asked questions and our most relevant answers

Bookings and prices

- How can I book a stay with you?

You can book directly from our website, by telephone or by writing to us.

We will be delighted to help you organise your stay.

- What methods of payment are accepted?

We accept payment by bank transfer or cash.

- Is breakfast included?

Yes, breakfast is always included in the bed and breakfast package.

Each morning's menu is generous and delicious, made with fresh, local produce and, wherever possible, organic.

Arrival and departure

- What time can I arrive?

  • For bed and breakfast, the ideal time is between 4pm and 7pm.
  • If you book your own villa, you will be welcomed from 5pm to 8pm.

If you are planning to arrive later or because something unforeseen is always possible, please let us know so that everything is ready when you arrive.

- Until what time can I use the room?

Departure is until 10.30 am.

We would be grateful if you could keep to this timetable, so that subsequent guests can enjoy an equally warm welcome.

Living in comfort

- Are pets welcome?

However adorable they may be, we do not accept pets. With the exception of guide or assistance dogs.

Please let us know if this applies to you and we will give your four-legged friend a warm welcome.

- Do you offer meals or dinners?

Villa Caormina does not yet offer this service.

On the other hand, there are plenty of restaurants in and around the centre of the village of Prayssac.

We'll be happy to advise you.

- Can I cook on site?

Depending on the package you choose (privatisation of the house), a fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal. Ideal for extending the pleasure of a local market over a meal with friends or family.

If you are staying in a bed and breakfast, the kitchen is reserved for the owners to prepare your breakfasts. Fancy a coffee, chocolate or tea during the day? We've got you covered with a dedicated, friendly space, right in the kitchen.

- Is it possible to privatise the house?

Yes, the house can be made private for groups, getaways with friends or family reunions.

A house just for you, with all the charm of the place and all the modern comforts.

Outdoors and relaxation

- Is the pool heated?

The travertine stone pool and beach are heated simply by the Lot sun.

The swimming pool is open from May to September.

Outside this period, and with the agreement of the owners, the less chilly can always take a refreshing dip.

- Are there any special rules to follow around the pool?

Access to the pool is free during the day, but unsupervised. An alarm system is activated outside swimming hours.

For everyone's comfort, including that of the neighbours, we ask you to keep the area quiet, day and night.

Families and accessibility

- Are children welcome?

Our aim was to create a home where young couples can relax, where older lovers can unwind and where old friends can get together.

The setting is ideal for recharging your batteries, and is reserved for adults and teenagers aged 15 and over.

- Is your home suitable for people with reduced mobility?

The house is a renovated former barn.

Most of our upstairs rooms are not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

We are very sorry about this.

Discovery and activities

- What to do in the area

Between the hilltop villages, medieval bastides, listed châteaux and mansions, farmers' markets, walks in the vineyards or along the banks of the Lot, there's no shortage of things to do. We'll be delighted to recommend our favourites.

- Where exactly is the house located?

In the Lot Valley, 2 km from Prayssac, in the heart of the Cahors vineyards, just a stone's throw from the River Lot.

Cahors is only 30 minutes away by car.

- Is the house insulated?

We live in the countryside in a peaceful setting.

The house is not isolated, however, and is close to all amenities (shops, restaurants, cinema, media library....).

Only 2 km separate us from the centre of Prayssac and 4 km from Puy-L'Evêque.

Where I come from, the chirping of birds and the singing of crickets and cicadas are perpetual in summer.

A few farmers on their tractors, working in the fields and vineyards, sometimes rival these animal concerts.
